New waves of internet and information technology are beginning to promise
I must admit that this sounds terribly nerdy, but I found myself entertaining myself with an idea of a family sim (i.e. simulator, that is an area in a virtual world or a mini virtual world).
My article on information source use of corporate finance professionals just came out in the Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology. To be short, the article discusses the relation of perceived success and choice of information sources. It seems that the perception of how people are successful in their work indicates their preferred information sources. It is also clear that the idea of success and personal characteristics of the professionals need to be taken into a closer consideration when developing information systems and services.
There is a lively on-going debate about the role of social media in libraries in Sweden.
My new article on Wikipedia contributors' information source use titled Where does the information come from? Information source use patterns in Wikipedia has been published in open access journal Information Research.
