âParticipationâ has become one of the central concepts in the recent professional and academic literature in archival, library and museum studies. Several authors have discussed various approaches to âparticipationâ in the context of the work at memory institutions by introducing and exploring such concepts as participatory archives, participatory appraisal, Archives 2.0, participatory museum, Library 2.0 and participatory librarianship.
