Swedish archival associations and the Swedish National Archive arranged last week a national archival conference Arkivveckan 2008 in Göteborg (Gothenburg). The discussed topics reflected well many of the current issues in the profession and academic studies. Digitisation, changes in archival profession and education and new process and activity bound ways of describing archives were in the focus. I presented together with Anneli Palmsköld the new ALM (archives, libraries museums) master's programme (ABM-master) starting next autumn at Lund University with a specific emphasis on communication and users.
